Okay, so we all realise that we are not talking about the first aid kit supply that our mum would have done for us as a child. Instead, this article will tend to concentrate on the things that we can all do as we get older, to ensure that we maximise our level of health as much as we possibly can.
Someone once said to me that once you hit the age of forty, hardly a day will go by when you will not feel some kind of ache or pain. This is because as we get older, are bodies are nothing like as fit as they were before.
However, there are ways of getting around this. First and foremost, you always need to ensure that you are eating a well-balanced diet. This means that you do need to make sure that you are eating the compulsory 5 portions of fruit and vegetables per day. You also need to be mindful of the portion sizes that you are eating.
Then, if you smoke, you need to quit at the earliest opportunity. Although some people can defy the statistical odds of the dreaded weed, they are very few and far between and the likelihood is that you will die earlier as a long-term.
Make sure you undertake regular exercise as well. If you can try to exercise at least 4 times a week, for half an hour at a time, this is recommended as being the minimum amount that should be done.
If you can stick to the golden rules above, you are statistically much more likely to go on and enjoy a higher standard of health into your old age.
