The Curse of the Hidden Health RisksThere is no denying the fact that we live in what appears to be a very sterile environment nowadays. Bleach and disinfectant are sprayed and squirted in every corner of our homes to make sure that any potential health risk is zapped immediately. But no matter how diligent we may think we are, there are always some areas that are downright neglected. First on this list has got to be the bathroom. Now, we may think that we keep on top of this at all times and that germs really are not that prevalent here, but did you know that only a few bacteria can multiply to become millions within only a twenty-four hour period? This means that you should make sure the toilet is kept clean all of the time. Then there is the dreaded air-conditioning units. It is fair to say that most people who have these do not ensure that there is regular air duct cleaning and this in turn, can lead to a whole heap of nasty viruses and illnesses. The kitchen needs careful attention too. Remember that rule about the multiplication of bacteria above and ensure that everything is kept clean at all times. Above all else, never, ever, use wooden chopping boards when you are preparing raw meat. This is absolutely asking for trouble as germs and dangerous bacteria will remain in the cracks of wood indefinitely. ![]() ![]()
