Lifestyle Guide for Arthritis

Arthritis is a debilitating disorder that can have a big impact on life. There are different types of arthritis, and all of them involve damage to joints in the body. Arthritis can be disfiguring but more importantly, it is a very painful disorder. It is said that some important lifestyle changes can help combat arthritis effectively. These changes include diet and exercise. Since arthritis by its very nature makes it difficult to be physically active, it is important to find correct ways of combating it through daily life.

There are various prescribed special diets for arthritis and many are known to work wonders, but before you decide to start any amazing arthritis diet , consult a doctor first. A dietician or doctor may be able to provide you with solid and reliable facts regarding your diet. A balanced diet which is rich in all essential nutrients is a must for anyone who wishes to be healthy.

Some foods which are contraindicated by popular diet plans are milk, flour, salt, potatoes, red meat and chocolate. While other foods such as apples, salmon, spinach, trout, mango, ginger, carrots, walnuts and lentils are said to be beneficial for arthritis.

In Arthritis, one of the most important things to do is to get rest. This disorder causes a lot of fatigue and it is important to give the body enough rest to combat it. Some amount of daily exercise is also necessary and this can include walking, yoga, tai chi, or anything that one can easily do on their own.
